TRAMAL MEDICATION
Tramal - Tramadol hydrochloride - Cancer Drug
Health Topics
This medicine contains the active ingredient tramadol hydrochloride, which is a type of medicine called an opioid analgesic or painkiller. Opioid painkillers work by mimicking the action of naturally occurring pain-reducing chemicals called endorphins. Endorphins are found in the brain and spinal cord and reduce pain by combining with opioid receptors. Tramadol mimics the action of our natural endorphins by combining with the opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord. This blocks the transmission of pain signals sent by the nerves to the brain. Therefore, even though the cause of the pain may remain, less pain is actually felt. Tramadol also works by enhancing the activity of neurotransmitters in the brain and spinal cord. Neurotransmitters are chemical compounds that act as chemical messengers between the nerve cells. Tramadol enhances the effect of the neurotransmitters serotonin and noradrenaline, and this action also helps relieve pain. It is not derived from natural sources, nor is it chemically related to opiates. Although its mode of action is not completely understood, from animal tests, at least two complementary mechanisms appear applicable: binding to µ-opioid receptors and inhibition of re-uptake of noradrenaline and serotonin. The opioid-like activity of tramadol derives from low affinity binding of the parent compound to µ-opioid receptors and higher affinity binding of the principal active metabolite, Bad Backs View topic - tramal

My good friend put me onto Bad Backs and I've never looked back. Running around after my 7 year old is hard work plus I work full-time... recently i have tried to stop taking tramal and i have found that i am addicted to them. When i try to go without i get hot and cold to a point where i feel like my blood is boiling, i become so disorientated i fell down the back stairs - i have enough injuries without adding more.
Fortunately you have recognized the addiction but you indicated the problems associated, to date, with taking this medication.
